Our new Shopify website is open!
We are still on Etsy too! Currently personalized items such as stockings and gift bags are only available in our Etsy shop. Shipping on Etsy is available to Canada and USA. Digital patterns are available worldwide. We have our new print on demand items on Etsy too.

I have been busy making these lovely wristlets for our Etsy shop! For their first time ever being in our Etsy shop we are having a flash sale for two days only! These bags are 20% off but newsletter subscribers to our handmade buyer’s list can get a “double dip” on the discount so make sure to get on that list!
I made these bags in a variety of styles and with various materials such as cork and fractured vinyls.
Clematis Wristlets at Daydeams of Quilts
These were made using the “Clematis Wristlet” pattern from Blue Calla Patterns. They are a bit more challenging than a regular wristlet or zipper pouch because they have curves but they’re fun to make!
If you want to be on both lists that’s great too! I will be tailoring my emails to each audience this year and moving forward so I don’t bore you with things you are not interested in.
What are your resolutions? Let me know in the comments!
I spent the last four days of December cleaning my craft room. Like, deep cleaning it! I pulled the room apart section by section and dusted, vacuumed, sorted and organized. I realized there are quite a few fabrics that, while very nice, are no longer as precious to me as they once were. So I’m sewing with those first!
I also have a goal of building my own e-commerce site this year. We’ll see how that goes.
Happy New Year and I hope 2020 is off to a great start for you!
Want to update your holiday decor this year? We have several options at Daydreams of Quilts that will up the cozy factor. Here’s a showcase of what we have available for 2019.
First up are the quilts of course! Quilts are the epitome of cozy at the holidays and year-round. The quilt above is the dark version and you can read more about it and the fabrics that are used in it in this post.
If you prefer a more whimsical look for your holiday decor I created this adorable Santa gnome tree skirt with a mash-up of Sugarplum and Winterkist fabrics. More tree skirts can be found in our tree skirt section.
We also have little mug rugs or snack mats to set on your side table or desk for your coffee break or milk and cookies.
At the time of this post it’s still the first half of November but now is the time to start planning and ordering personalized and customized gifts for the holidays. Today’s post showcases our personalized items at Daydreams of Quilts.
We thought in addition to our personalized initial pillow covers that our customers might like a matching throw quilt. As with the pillow covers, colour preference can be selected during the checkout process for these.
Our Santa sacks are printed in an eco-friendly water-saving way by Spoonflower using pigment inks. Read more about how using Spoonflower fabrics saves water and our environment here.

I hope this post has helped generate some holiday gift ideas to make your gifts for loved ones extra special this year.
Check my Instagram account later today for a stocking giveaway. (I just need to take a photo when the light is better and then I can post it.) 🙂
This year I have worked to incorporate eco-friendly solutions into my shop both in the products I have made and the materials I have used. One of the new products this year is the Reusable Drawstring Fabric Gift Bags.
Reusable drawstring fabric gift bags at Daydreams of Quilts. Fabrics are “Kringle and Claus” by Basic Grey.
Kringle and Claus dark version available at Daydreams of Quilts for Christmas 2019.
These bags have been very popular and have been selling since July! The bags below this paragraph made with “Wintertide” from Figo Fabrics have sold out twice! Wintertide fabrics are available at Studio 39 Fabrics.
And one more new thing for this year in our shop are personalized Santa Sacks and Mini Santa sacks found in the fabric gift bags section of our shop. I hope we can help to reduce gift wrap going into landfills and save our customers money down the road with these reusable options. I have had a lot of fun putting together fabric combinations for bags and making all of them.

Here is the first of two quilts I have finished in the last week. This quilt uses a “Holiday Lodge” quilt panel designed by Deb Strain for Moda Fabrics. I used some Holiday Lodge fabrics and mixed in other fabrics from my stash including: Basic Grey’s “Evergreen” line, Tula Pink’s “Holiday Homies” line and some Kate and Birdie “True North” fabrics. The “Holiday Lodge” fabrics were purchased from Birdie and Dot Fabrics. There is also Kona Snow and Kona Black fabric in this quilt.

This quilt is available here in the Daydreams of Quilts Etsy shop.
This sailboat quilt was made with Daysail fabics, designed by Bonnie and Camille for Moda, with a white on white background. The Kona for the inner border and sashing is Kona Splash available here from Studio 39 Fabrics. The Sailboat quilt can be found here in our Etsy shop.

I have written a free pattern for this quilt for my maker’s email subscribers. Scroll down to the bottom of this post to subscribe and receive this free PDF pattern.
I quilted clouds in the white background and waves in the sashing and inner border. The sails are quilted with back and forth lines and the border is quilted with meandering stipple quilting. The boats have waves quilted on them too. I switched out threads to match the fabrics. All threads are Aurifil 50 weight 100% cotton threads.

I used a pretty ombre rainbow wideback for the backing (I believe this one is from Windham fabrics.)
The backing is this pretty ombre wideback.

This quilt is a generous throw or shorter twin size and is available here in the Daydreams of Quilts Etsy shop.
